A new well needs a road in and a pad to work from. Our oilfield services are the civil and dirt work behind that. We build location pads and lease roads and do the site work around facilities. When a well is done, we grade and clean up the location.

Oilfield construction starts with the route in. Where timber stands in the way, the tree shear and the mulching head do the land clearing first. Then we cut in the lease road and build up the location pad. The pad gets graded so rain runs off to the ditches.
Waynesboro averages about 60 inches of rain a year, and some Wayne County ground is clay that swells when wet. We top lease roads with rock for the loaded trucks and the wet months. Our own dump trucks haul the rock in, and a dozer spreads it. Low spots and ditch crossings get culverts and drainage pipe so water passes under the road.
Wayne County produced about 1.6 million barrels of oil in 2025, by the Mississippi Oil and Gas Board's count. That is roughly a sixth of the state's oil. Jasper, Jones and Wayne Counties together produced about half of it, and all three sit inside the area we work. Wayne County's East Eucutta and West Yellow Creek fields ranked fourth and sixth in the state for oil.
Across the line, the Citronelle field in north Mobile County came in during 1955. The State Oil and Gas Board of Alabama credits it with more than 176 million barrels of oil. Choctaw County's Gilbertown field is the oldest oil field on that board's list. We work oil and gas locations in the Citronelle area and across southwest Alabama.
State rules set how the pits on a location are built and closed. Mississippi's rules call for dikes and drainage ditches that keep surface water out of a drilling pit. Alabama's Oil and Gas Board rules say no surface water or runoff may enter a pit. Both states allow 90 days after drilling to backfill and compact the pits, unless the state approves otherwise.
When a well is plugged and abandoned, the rules want the equipment and debris off the location. Mississippi's rule says to fill any excavations and grade or contour the location to prevent erosion. Alabama's rule asks for steps that stabilize the location and hold down erosion. Both states want the location restored within 90 days, in a manner the state approves.
Operators hold the permits and answer to the state boards. Our part is the dirt work those rules describe. We backfill and grade the ground, and our own trucks haul the rock off. Pit fluids and oilfield waste are handled by others under the state disposal rules.
